Taming of the Shrew (with Pirates)

Here is a selection of images from the Napa Valley College and City of Napa, California Shakespeare in the Park. These are images from the final dress rehearsal and closing night. I usually don’t shoot when there is an audience, but in this case I could stay up front and out of the way tucked under one of the lighting instrument trees. When the audience was applauding the show, I could sneak out to get these overview shots.

The Veteran’s Park in downtown, with the stage in front of the river. It was said that from the top floor of the restaurant behind the arena, patrons asked if the two-master ship was actually in the water. The image was stitched from three images. To maintain the light levels to make stitching easier, I used the camera’s manual exposure setting.
From the back of the "house."

Long shot from the Third St. bridge. When the actors backstage saw me out there they gave a big group wave.

To order a CD with these and about 140 more shots from Taming of the Shrew (pirates) from rehearsal, design and outtakes, please send your mailing address with a $15 check to Jeff Thomas, 2523 Grace Dr, Santa Rosa CA 95404. I’ll send your CD in the next day. Cheers, Jeff
